SCAM WARNING:

In June 2021, we started receiving a lot of telephone calls from consumers complaining about having been scammed by londonfx.com, which was operating unlawfully using our name. We have no connection with the registrants of londonfx.com, and we asked callers to report the matter to the Financial Conduct Authority.

We reported the matter to the FCA on 28th June 2021. Instead of taking action against londonfx.com, the FCA wrote to us on 27th August 2021, confusing us with, and mistakenly accusing us of being, londonfx.com. We immediately wrote back to the FCA on 31st August 2021 and complained that it had failed to act upon our report of 28th June 2021. Following our complaint, londonfx.com was shut down on 7th November 2021, more than four months after we first reported the matter to the FCA, during which time we received plenty more calls from consumers, one of whom said he had lost almost £25,000 to the scammers.
